Idea Analysis
I've always been a huge fan of Role Playing Video Games. Games where diverse characters meet each other, deal with their differences, and go on journeys for their greater good. So often, this genre uses typical settings and aesthetics. Usually a medieval or futuristic setting is chosen. I always wanted more RPGs where the setting is closer to our own, if not a fantastical version of it. So I made my own story and world where I get just that.

1:00pm-Sunny Afternoon-September
Five teenagers sit inside of a downtown city subway. Advertisement posters with alien writing cover the upper walls. As shadows coat the inside of the subway, the teenagers look alert.
Sitting on the left side of the subway is a perpetually laid back Mir Kozlovsky. A 16-year-old, very pale blue female, with dark blue eyes. Standing at about 5’5ft, brown slightly messy hair stopped at her shoulders. It covers part of her face as she gazes at an ad for a planet Mars vacation, with her left foot elevated, tapping against a subway pole. She wears a dark blue and black striped hoodie with a black tee shirt underneath with the words “Um, Calm Down” printed on it in gray font, and a black necklace with including the symbol of the dwarf planet Pluto. In addition to wearing baggy, navy blue pants that are cuffed at the bottom.
Reiji Ikhwezi, an athletic looking 16-year-old male with brown skin, and dark hair tied into a short, spiky ponytail, sits in a side seat in front of Mir. Always displaying a cocky demeanor, Reiji is about 5’10 with a sharp jaw line, slightly narrow face, and two blue sharp horns that protrude from his forehead. He wears a pair of noticeably expensive black and red mid-top sneakers with unbuckled Velcro. He also wears a pair of black shorts at the length well below his knees, and a short sleeved black and red-buttoned shirt with 2 of the top buttons unfastened. The right sleeve of Reiji’s shirt is decorated with a gray band with Japanese characters that translate to the word “destroy” in red font. Tattoos of Japanese and extraterrestrial alien characters representing multiple martial arts techniques, cover his forearms, with his left arm also displaying a combination symbol of the planets Pluto and Venus. Reiji sits slightly hunched with his hands hanging off his knees. He calmly gazes with eyes similar to the color scheme of a reptile. Red eyes, black pupils with a slight yellow around his pupils.
Aura Maunder, a female of the same age as Reiji and Mir, about 5’8, sits right next to Reiji. A girl with paper white skin, and jet-black hair, styled as an upward sideways ponytail. As she talks, she exposes her teeth that look similar to the ones of small tiger. Aura seems only a little pretentious, wearing a black sleeveless shirt made up of wrapped fabric that covers her up to the top of her neck. As well as a white dress made out of a feathery like material with high heeled shoes. She also wore 2 black diamond earrings at the tip of each of her cat like ears. Her hands and feet revealed black cat like claws. She sat composed, with 1 leg crossed over the other, with her hands properly sitting on her lap, and her head slightly tilted. All of this while void of any emotion.
An energetic, spacey, 15-year-old female, about 5’3 with dark brown skin, sits on the other side of the subway. Abbey Hunt has brown eyes, and long dark-red dreadlocked hair. The side of her head has strands of hair that are swept back to expose multicolored wires coming out of her head. She wears an oversized short-sleeved yellow jersey that stops well below her shorts. “TOKYO SNIPERS” is displayed in big black letters on the front of the jersey. Coming out of the back of her hand was a square shaped cybernetic-looking object. A faint blue light seeped out of slots on this part of her hand. Abbey’s small frame sat with her feet together on the floor, with her hands in her lap. She had a long, cushioned double seat all to herself.
A 6ft 15-year-old male sat in a seat diagonal to Abbey. A somber looking African/Caucasian American-looking teenager with a similar but slightly bigger build then Reiji’s, sits in a seat beside Abbey. With an oval shaped face, his hair is close-cut and dark. Dante wears a gray unzipped hooded jacket with a black tank top underneath. As he yawns, he exposed grills on his teeth comprised of platinum, gold, and diamonds, which spell out the words “I Make Matter.”
The students bobble as the subway makes several turns. Aura’s right claw rests on a side of her tilted face as she talks eloquently. She quickly turns her head, swinging her ponytail to view the other students.
Aura
Alright, this is our first quarter placement mission. Ryujin Mercenary High School gives this to all students, to see how well they cooperate with each other in teams, and fair against fighting opponents
Reiji
We’re dealin’ with intelligent life that’s infected with the ravage. An overload of corrupted energy inside of people will be kinda unpredictable. Don’t shit your pants if something weird happens.
Abbey
(To Reiji. Smiling)
Hm..Well, just don’t almost die this time okay?
Mir is astonished, looking back and forth. Aura looks at Reiji for a couple of seconds, than faces forward.
reiji
(Looking annoyed.)
I had it.
Dante pushes down any subtle laughter, hiding his smirk by scratching the side of his mouth. He speaks with a somber but intellectual demeanor.
Dante
We have Mir with us. You won’t be the only one absorbing damage this time.
Mir speaks with a calm and casual tone.
Mir
Aww I’m so flattered…We’re..retrieving contraband from a cartel though. That‘s some serious shit. Like, do you guys know what the contraband is?
reiji
(Shrugging his shoulders with a snarky half smile.)
I dunno….
mir
Is it weapons??
Reiji shrugs.
mir
Drugs??
Reiji shrugs.
MIR
I read that people on earth have a history of going crazy over drugs.
Reiji and Abbey laugh.
Aura
After we engage in battle with the enemy party, Abbey will sneak into their headquarters to steal the contraband. She has the codes or whatever to enter the secured areas needed.
Aura takes out a holographic smart phone that sits in a bunny rabbit shaped case made out of gold, and shows it to the other students. A hologram of data beams out of the phone’s screen.

According to the school’s data, there are three people of the highest threat. A woman with white hair is codenamed Blythe. A man with long dark hair is codenamed Gatling. And a bald man is codenamed Kepler.
Mir
We already KNOW that these guys are infected with the ravage. Usually it’s contracted through negative emotions. And you aren’t yourself when you’re affected.
dante
So the cartel infected themselves on purpose.
Reiji
People can get a hold of power in different and easier ways nowadays.
The subway slowly comes to a halt and light from outside beams through the windows.
Aura puts her phone back into her pocket. Mir is the first to get out of her seat, holding to the railing on the ceiling.
Mir
(Turning to the others.)
See you guys outside.
She heads through the exit. Reiji quickly pats his knees and rises out of his seat. His commanding voice echoes through the subway.
Reiji
Aight numb nuts, let’s go.
Abbey hops out of her seat, swaying her hair. She happily runs though the exit.
Reiji has a smirk on his face, while grabbing a vertical railing. He swings out the exit. Aura uncrosses her leg and promptly rises out of her seat, quickly looking at the seat with disgust. She elegantly walks through the exit.
Dante awkwardly rises. As he walks toward the door, he takes his jacket off and effortlessly throws it up in the air. A cube surrounds the jacket and it disappears. He walks out.
With everyone out of the subway, the exit door slides close with a screeching halt. To the teenager’s left and right are giant green grungy walls, from older buildings. The outer shell of this area is comprised of colorful downtown buildings spiraling outward. A pristine, white cylindrical building with several layers and pillars, sits at the end of a humongous grass field.
Abbey carelessly plays with strands of her hair and suddenly fades and disappears.

Gimme a few minutes.
Immediately, three people, dressed in all black mercenary gear, with scarves covering their faces, burst out of the entrance doors of the building. As the subway departs, the three mysterious figures move at an increasingly rapid pace toward the teenagers.
Reiji
We got company already.
mir
(Turning to Reiji. Moving forward)
Yeah.
At a closer look, the students see Kepler; a bald man with an odd grid like tattoo on his head; Gatling, a man with long black straight hair; and Blythe, a young women with white hair in a pony tail. Their eyes strain with anger as they move closer to the teenagers.

(Turning to Reiji.)
Okay Reiji, you and me will focus on fighting Blythe and Gatling.
reiji
(Nodding his head.)
Gotcha.
mir
Aura will prov-
Reiji waves at the enemy party with a welcoming smile on his face.
reiji
You guys got drugs?
(Reiji laughs under his breath.)
Mir rolls her eyes while Dante looks at Reiji with concern. Aura is content being used to Reiji’.
Gatling quickly moves into a martial arts stance. A shockwave emits, giving both him and Blythe a red aura. They run toward the students at an immense speed.

Yessssssss! Mir let’s go.
Reiji’s skin turns brick red as he runs head on into the two opponents at a similar speed. He displays a big smile on his face, with his eyes dead on his targets. Gatling launches a dragon kick at Reiji. Reiji immediately halts his run, and evades Gatling’s attack. He moves into a Kenpo fighting stance; and within a fraction of a second, punches and elbows him, followed by a shoulder thrust, sending him tumbling. Blythe slashes at Reiji with a large, ornate sword, but before she can cut through Reiji’s flesh, Mir endures the slash with her bare hands.

Crap.
Contact with the sword creates sparks against her glowing blue hands. Mir kicks Blythe in the stomach, then knees her in the jaw. Her body suddenly rewinds itself with blue after-images, repeating the same attacks. Both Blythe and Gatling recover. Blythe aggressively slashes her sword at Mir and Reiji, creating a force that smacks them to the ground, and cuts through their skin. As Reiji notices the blood, Gatling continues the assault sending them a barrage of punches.
Throughout this brawl, Dante constructs a machine gun out of thin air with his mind. Several components of this weapon appear at a rapid pace, into one whole object. On the other side of the field he sees Kepler loading up an alien looking assault rifle.

Hold on for a few more seconds guys...
The weapon drops into his arms and he begins shooting aggressively at the enemy party. Kepler, Blythe, and Gatling begin running to the sides of Dante’s sights to avoid his gunfire. A handful of bullets skid through their clothes, causing them to stagger. Kepler returns the gunfire while running, shooting several rapid rounds of explosive bullets. Dante stumbles avoiding a portion of the impact of Kepler’s attack.
Aura begins to swiftly run through the field, dodging Kepler’s gunfire, and slash projectiles from Blythe. As she approaches Gatling who is weaving through gunfire, her clothes turn blue, and become aligned with ice spikes. She elegantly slashes at Gatling with her claws. This creates a giant streak of ice that freezes him. Aura continues to move onto Kepler while Reiji and Mir recover. She spirals behind him leaving a path of fire, and slashes into his torso. The slash creates a wave of flames, and turns her clothes orange and red. Kepler screams in agony and falls to the ground squirming, to extinguish the fire. Aura hears a rumbling thud, and crash behind her.

Aura!!!!
Aura turns around to see Blythe, who effortlessly knocks her away with a projectile slash, sending her tumbling to the ground. Gatling trails behind her. With Mir and Reiji back on their feet, Mir’s eyes start to glow. A transparent blue aura now surrounds her and Reiji.

Don’t let them get to Aura.
Everything outside of the aura has its time slowed down. Outside of Mir’s aura, they move at a fast forward-like pace toward Blythe and Gatling. During this time, Reiji’s skin gradually becomes a pale blue tint. The aura disappears as they face their opponents. Reiji recklessly dashes to Gatling, however moving at a slower speed.

Let’s fight for real this time!
Gatling launches a flurry of punches and kicks at him. The assault barely staggers Reiji. He recklessly continues to jump into Gatling’s attacks unharmed.
At Mir and Blythe’s quarters, a quick strong gust of wind passes by. Blythe appears behind Mir high up in the air with her sword gripped back. With precision, she slashes down at Mir’s forehead. Mir turns around at the last minute as the attack creates a giant cloud of debris. Mir darts out of the dust unharmed, and is able to fend off of Blythe’s aggressive slashes with her bare hands. They knock against the sword like steel.
Throughout this brawl, Dante is seen running to his teammates. He grits his teeth as his weapon transforms into two shotguns. Dante blasts to rounds and knock down both Blythe and Gatling. He reloads both guns with each hand and shoots again. They aggressively struggle to rise back to their feet, moving away from Dante. Suddenly, three images of Abbey teleport on top of Gatling, Kepler, and Blythe’s shoulders. With a plasma Blade extended out of her wrist, she slits her victim’s necks, then fades away.

About damn time.
Abbey
Just keep taking damage.
The three cartels collapse to the ground. Reiji helps up a recovered Aura.
Reiji
Alright let’s make su-
A black grid appears under the cartels. They quickly rise back to their feet and black lightning spreads around them. Aura gracefully hops away from the grid’s vicinity. A strong pressure around the grid causes her friends to struggle standing.
blythe
You kids don’t know who or WHAT you’re messing with.
aura
Everyone, get the hell off of that grid.
The other students clear the area of the grid.
aura
They’re using the ravage.
blythe
KILL HER NOW!!!
As Blythe speaks, Abbey moves at blinding speeds up the wall of the building, and into a window. Multicolored after-images of Abbey appear behind her. Gatling chases after her. Dante, Aura, Mir, and Reiji continue to attack Blythe and Kepler
With the ravage empowering him, the ground shakes as Gatling runs. He follows Abbey through a hallway inside of the building. The space is made up of unusually pristine white walls. Light only comes through the windows. Gatling easily catches up to her and grabs her by her neck. She explodes and disappears into sparks.
Gatling
Decoy….
Cut to Abbey running up a narrow stairway to the top of the building.
abbey
Ravage my ass.
Her eyeballs show designs of radar UI. Within a few seconds, it indicates that she has reached her target location.
abbey
Awesome.
She arrives at a heavily armored door with a square slab of metal located at where a doorknob would be.
abbey
(With a slightly exaggerated tone.)
Hmm. I wonder what this is for??
Abbey places her hand on the square. Electrical pathways light up out of the square and through the surrounding walls. The secured door starts buzzing. Sparks trickle out of the side of it, and several locks and levers unlock and separate. Abbey walks through the door.
abbey
Yes! This is it!
Excited, she runs into an empty room with a safe, that is just as armored as the door to the room. Abbey sighs while punching in areas on a metal square slab of the safe. She places her hand on the square and the safe opens. She opens a suitcase inside of the safe to expose glowing red spheres that shake in random intervals.
abbey
What the hell is this stuff?
Her brow stiffens as she quickly closes it, rises and turns around. She sees Dante at the door.
dante
They're coming for you, we-
(Crashing rumbling noises.)
The building starts tilting. Suddenly, Gatling runs through the door, knocking Dante to the ground. He heads straight to Abbey.
Gatling
That suitcase is the last thing you’re gonna see-
Abbey’s eyes open wide, and she draws a plasma blade, holding it in a stabbing position. Gatling’s fist swiftly reaches out to Abbey’s face. His whole body begins to shiver as it is covered with ice. A transparent blur then surrounds him. He is seen breaking out of the ice in slow motion. Aura and Mir appear, struggling to keep their balance.

Abbey, sweety, let's go before the building crushes us, and Gatling breaks free.
Abbey retracts her plasma blade and rolls her eyes at Gatling. Dante finishes constructing a rocket launcher.
Dante
Everyone clear the back wall!
Dante blasts a hole through the wall. Mir surrounds herself in another aura of time.
Mir
Alright, let's hit it.
The door of the room spits out sparks that travel inside. The walls start to break and flames explode through the room as the top floor begins to cave in. Mir leaps forward, out of the window. Her friends follow behind her, and they all drop down the side of the crumbling building. Passing several floors, they dangerously get closer to the ground, with Dante's face looking terrified.
The party's momentum suddenly slows down, and they land safely on the ground, with Dante's limbs shaking, struggling to keep a straight face. They see Reiji in the distance kneeling on the ground, exhausted and bruised, with Blythe and Kepler walking closer to him.
Dante
REIJI! We're coming!!
reiji
(Casually waving a hand. Speaking with no energy.)
Naw, I'm good....Everything's fine.
Aura
Hurry, before the rubble from the building crushes us.
Mir speeds up her, Dante, Aura, and Abbey again, away from the raining building debris, and closer to Reiji.
Dante
WOAH, WOAH, w-wait..
As Mir's group closes in on Reiji, their movement slows down and Dante tumbles to the ground.
Dante
Hmmmph!
Mir looks exhausted.
Mir
S..Sorry, I'm out of power.
Out of energy, Mir continues to run behind Aura and Dante to aid Reiji. Broken out of the time aura, Gatling attempts to flank the hurrying students. Abbey fades out behind him and tries to stab him multiple times with her plasma blade. Gatling barely staggers. Still empowered by the ravage, he effortlessly lifts up Abbey by one of her arms, and snatches the suitcase out of her hand.
Abbey
Oh......Shi-
Gatling slams Abbey into the ground, cracking it.
Mir
OH MY GOD, ABBEY!!!

She's fine.
Abbey appears behind Gatling again, with a suitcase out of his hands, and in hers, and attacks him. Each time Gatling attacks Abbey, Abbey fades away, and appears in another spot. She does her best to avoid the chunks of building falling; as well as the large spikes of terrain that Gatling creates from his attacks.
Blythe
HEY, you IDIOT! She should be dead!! And without the suitcase!!
Blythe and Kepler run to help Gatling kill Abbey and retrieve the suitcase. Tired, Mir slowly runs to Abbey's fight.
Mir
I can't leave her.
Aura helps up Reiji who is bloodied and bruised.
Aura
No, it's too dangerous.
Dante moves forward to Abbey and the cartels, and viciously blasts off his rocket launcher. He's body barely jerks back as he handles the weapon like he's used it his whole life. Abbey's body disappears, and Dante shoots nonstop, making sure the cartel's get buried by the falling building and the blasts from the rockets.
Gatling lets out a red pulse that reflects all of the damage around him. The pulse also locates Abbey's real body, which is currently invisible, headed to the right corner of the subway entry with the suitcase. He darts to her putting dents in the ground.
Aura
(Worried. Looking at Abbey.)
No....
Reiji's face strains as he rises up straight. His skin turns dark red and he runs to Gatling. Reiji runs in front of Gatling, charging into his skull with his horns. Still empowered by the ravage, Gatling only staggers. Behind him, Aura keeps two hands on Gatling's skull, freezing him downward, encasing his body in a giant chunk of ice.
Reiji
(Struggling to stand again.)
See? What got this.
Aura attempts to run to the subway entrance, but she feels lightheaded. She sits on the ground for a second or two to recover, touching her temple. Within two seconds, Aura, Abbey, Dante, and Reiji are transported to the subway entrance by Mir. The field outside of the cartel building is destroyed with chunks of earth spiking out. The building continues to collapse and consume the area.
The students take safe haven in the subway tunnel entrance.
Mir
(Sitting against a wall. Exhausted.)
Sigh....Okay....
Reiji and Aura sit together on a bench.
reiji
(To Mir. Sending her a fist bump.)
Thanks for the lift! You and me make a good duo...
Abbey fades in, out of invisibility. Her body overheats with blurry vapor emitting from her. She breathes heavy as she sits on the ground, against a wall, holding the suitcase.
Reiji
Damn Abbey, you look scared. Was someone trying to kill you?
Abbey gives Reiji the finger. Reiji laughs. He looks at the crumbling building.
Reiji
We weren't supposed to kill the cartels though..So where are they, or..What happened to them?
Dante's eyelids are heavy. His body slowly collapses to the ground. Mir and Reiji run to catch him.
Reiji
(Warm smile.)
AH! It was you!
Mir
Is he okay??
Reiji
Yeah, he's alright. We can thank him for shooting dozens of rockets into the cartel's faces.
Aura
He needs mental and physical energy to create and use his weapons. Using the rocket launcher for so long depleted the majority of it.
The subway arrives. Reiji helps Dante inside, and everyone takes their usual seats. They move slowly looking bruised and tired. The subway door closes to a screech. It makes its way to the student's destination. The light within the subway dims and rings of shadows move through.
Reiji
Welp.....Mission complete.
Mir
Heh, yeah, good job everyon-
The subway starts to teeter, and the students stumble in their seats. The door quickly opens and Gatling leaps in and snatches the suitcase away from Abbey. He too appears beat up, with bloody bruises on his face. Though his eyes still show intense anger. No longer affected by the ravage, the students still look traumatized by this sudden act. As Gatling quickly jumps out of the subway, Abbey snags him by his clothes to go along with him.
Dante
ABBEY! No!!
The students rush to the door, trying to avoid the onslaught of sparks that splatter about. Abbey chases Gatling. They both run on the side of the subway with magnificent balance. Abbey disappears and reappears in front of Gatling, slashing him with her plasma blade. Gatling deflects her arm.
Abbey
Give me that suitcase back, and you won’t get your ass kicked again.
Gatling
You sure you wanna run your mouth like that?!
The two dash toward each other and begin fighting. Some of Abbeys attack land, cutting Gatling. Some of Gatling's attacks bruise Abbey, or knock the air out of here.
Dante
Abbey! Just leave the suitcase. This isn't safe. Try to get away.
Gatling run-house kicks Abbey's skull, and follows up by grabbing her by her head.
Abbey
UGH!!
Gatling
It's okay Dante..I'm gonna make sure she never-
The subway makes a sharp turn which causes Gatling to lose his balance. Abbey kicks him away and he falls off of the subway. She quickly grabs the suitcase and runs back inside. She appears just as worn out as the rest of her teammates.
Abbey
Ow....Oh my god....
Reiji laughs underneath his breath.

He’s not dead right? He just fell off the side of a moving subway. We’ll get in trouble if he died.
abbey
Seriously?! He just tried to kill me!
The subway continues to move through the tunnel.
